Cheat day!
Sorry I haven't blogged lately, it's hard to find the time sometimes!
My training has been going really good... I'm getting stronger everyday!! Katelynn and I were talking about how when we started working out one of the things we struggled with was incline bench... When we started we could barely do 8 reps with just the bar (45lbs) and that was with a spot! lol Now we are doing more weight and reps... So we're getting better! =)
I had a really bad week with weight gain (I gained 3lbs in 1 week!!) and it was hard to keep training and sticking to the diet... I decided on my training instead of adding weight I'd add more reps to my set and with my diet I was going to add a cheat day (Dr. Ozz said it's ok to have a cheat day! lol) soooo I decide Saturday would be a good cheat day because I'm pretty active that day so I'd burn more calories than if it was on a lazy Sunday... Now I just want to clarify on my cheat day I still try and stick to my calories as close as I can and I don't go crazy with what I eat... I usually only have one or two things that aren't on the diet and I'm satisfied!! Since I started doing these things I've lost the 3 lbs I gained that week plus a few more, so I feel I'm getting the results I want!! =)
Just a few things on what Dr. Ozz said about cheat days- The reason he recommends them is because he says it gives your metabolism kind of a kick start to start burning fat again from eating the same healthy foods all the time.... And you should have 5 days in between your cheat days!

Dieting...
As you all know dieting is not my favorite thing to do... I'm sure there isn't anyone out there who loves to diet! It's hard for so many different reasons... One being people who don't understand dieting and think you're starving yourself so they are always trying to get you to eat... I know what I'm doing, I know how many calories I need to be eating a day and I eat 6 times a day! Just because they're small meals doesn't mean I'm starving myself... My body is getting everything it needs so you don't need to worry about my diet it's under control!
One of the other things is people who try and get you to cheat all the time or eat yummy things in front of you to see if you'll break your diet... I struggle everyday with not eating sweets, pasta, breads etc... I LOVE all those foods but I'm trying to reach my goal and chose not to eat those things. I can't say that I never eat those things on my diet because I do, I just plan mine in on certain days (not everyday) so I don't go over my calories for the day... I still drink alcohol when we go out dancing I just plan it and track it so I'm aware of what's going on to help me reach my goals.... So just remember dieting doesn't mean giving up everything you like to eat and if you are one of those people who can eat a million calories a day and don't gain an ounce please don't be an asshole and rub it in to those of us who are less fortunate! lol
I train 6 days a week (W/Katelynn and Cristina) Mon and Thurs we train chest, shoulders and triceps Tues and Fri we train back, biceps and core then Wed and Sat we train legs... We've all been getting stronger and stronger every week!! =) We were kind of just doing cardio randomly here and there but I think we've finally decided on doing the elliptical everyday for 20 mins except leg day then on leg days we'll go swimming!

I was going to go over my training last week but never found the time!

This past week my work did a fitness test and I wasn't excellent on everything damn it lol BUT I did make the excellent category in pushups... I did 42 (girl) pushups in one minute! I was pretty proud of myself!
Until next time....

Cravings...
So I've been doing really good with the diet... Haven't cheated once! Unless you count the Jager I drank as cheating... Which I don't because I tracked it in my daily calorie intake!! lol However all I can think about is all the food I can't eat!! lol Katelynn and I have talked about going on a food road trip once we're done... I wanna go to New York for some really yummy doughnuts!! New York isn't in my future but I sure hope this food road trip is!!! =) We have to at least make it to Voodoo doughnuts in Oregon... I really want doughnuts!
The gym has been REALLY good... Getting stronger everyday (and less sore) I think we need to start getting a little better with the cardio... We're really good at talking our way out of doing that! Hahahaha
I've started seeing some results already which has helped keep me motivated!!
I think this saying is for all three of us girls... We have been pushing each other a lot more this week! Which might not be fun at the time but very rewarding after! lol
Happy training everyone...

One week down!
Well I survived this week! It's been a pretty good week with the food portion... I haven't cheated once on the diet, but I sure do miss all the food I can't eat! lol My diet is 1,500 calories portioned out 60% carbs 30% protein and 10% fat. I have been using the myfitnesspal app to help track everything, if you have the app you should add me! My user name is princesscookie =)
Now the working out part has been a challenge more for me this week because I took about a month off... It always amazes me how fast you lose your strength and endurance when taking a break!! I felt like I started working out for the first time in my life... All my strength was gone!! Leg day is usually my favorite day... After my first leg workout I couldn't walk normal for 3 days!! I wanted to cut my legs off! lol I'm hoping next week will be better now that I've worked all my muscles out!
I'm glad I have Cristina and Katelynn... It's always easier when you have people going through the same thing you are! They keep me motivated and push me when I don't want to do anymore weight! Those girls are WAY stronger than me! lol And Robert has been a really good trainer for us... Love him!! =)
I weigh myself everyday... Now some of you might say that's obsessive, but it helps me track what kind of foods make me gain weight and I know my progress everyday rather than once a week or month! I'd rather know if what I'm doing is helping me reach my goals right now instead of do something for a month to find out it didn't work... Now the down side of doing this is you see the scale go up and down more than you want and for some people it can be frustrating so I don't recommend to everyone... But for me I want to stay informed of what my body is doing!
Here is something I found that has helped me stay motivated this week!! =)

Day one...
So I was planning on starting tomorrow but I figure why not get a head start! lol
Over the weekend Robert and I figured out the diet we are going to do... This is my hardest part about getting in shape! I'd rather do anything than diet!!! hahaha
I weighed myself this morning... 133.6 Not as bad as I thought I was going to weigh, but definitely not where I want to be! I'm sure you guys are saying... "What, she doesn't need to lose weight" but for me I don't feel comfortable at this weight! For the past 5-6 years I have fluctuated from 130-135 and I'm hoping by the end of this 2 month journey I will be around 115-120. I didn't check my body fat yet but that is something else I'm going to track because I want to gain some lean muscle as well.
I did really good with my diet today... I didn't cheat once! lol Here's to 59 more days of not cheating on it!!
